Berezowski scores 4 goals, new-look Silvertips rout Chiefs

Everett rolls 9-3 in its first game after the conclusion of a busy WHL trade season.

SPOKANE — Jackson Berezowski netted four goals and the new-look Everett Silvertips routed the Spokane Chiefs 9-3 in their first game after the conclusion of the busy WHL trade season.

Kaden Hammell scored his first goal for Everett after being acquired in a trade the sent Silvertips stars Olen Zellweger and Ryan Hofer to the Kamloops Blazers in a blockbuster deal on Sunday.

Austin Roest, Roan Woodward, Oren Shtrom and Dexter Whittle also scored and Tyler Palmer made 29 saves for Everett (19-18-1-0).

Berkly Catton, Kooper Gizowski and Ty Cheveldayoff scored and Dawson Cowan had 13 saves for Spokane (7-27-1-2).

The Silvertips made six trades in all involving 12 players and 16 draft picks.
