Best of the West

The Tri-City Herald released its annual Best of the West Poll over the weekend. Everett won two of the 20 categories, with winger Tyler Sandhu being chosen the Best 16-year-old and the Tips reclaiming their title for Best Fans. Several other Everett players are scattered among the top six in each category.

Traditionally, the week following the Best of the West Poll brings the Best of the Tips Poll on the blog, where the readers have their say. I was caught a bit off guard this year (I only found out about the Best of the West this morning), so I’m not prepared. But fear not! I will get my act together today and begin the poll tomorrow. My categories always differ slightly from the Best of the West, and I’ll post a handful of categories each day, with a summary of the results at the end of the week. Each day’s polls will only be open for 24 hours, so make sure you get your votes in each day.

And out of curiosity, does anyone have any suggestions for categories they’d like to see that aren’t usually included in the poll?
