Big 2nd period lifts Silvertips past Royals

Everett scores four times in the second period and cruises to a 4-2 win over Victoria.

EVERETT — The Everett Silvertips scored four goals in the second period and cruised to a 4-2 win over the Victoria Royals on Friday night at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Niko Huuhtanen, Michal Gut, Ben Hemmerling and Aidan Sutter all scored in the key period to lead the Silvertips.

Ryan Hofer finished with three assists and Braden Holt stopped 21 of 23 shots for Everett (31-7-2-2), which won its sixth game in a row.

Campbell Arnold had a busy night in goal, stopping 58 of 62 shots for Victoria (12-24-4-1).
