Everett allowed four unanswered goals in the final period and falls 6-3.

KENNEWICK — The Tri-City Americans scored four unanswered goals in the third period to pull away for a 6-3 win over the Everett Silvertips on Friday night at the Toyota Center.

Caden Zaplitny’s first goal of the season at the 13:22 mark of the second period gave the Silvertips a 3-2 lead.

But Ethan Ernst scored twice, and Jake Sloan and Elouann Lemonnier each added a goal as the American stormed back to take the win.

Olen Zellweger and Ben Hemmerling scored, and Braden Holt stopped 28 of 34 shots in goal for Everett (7-3-0-0).

Tomas Suchanek stopped 33 of 36 shots in goal for Tri-City (4-5-0-0).
