GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany — Olympic gold medalist Bode Miller has decided to end his season early to rest a sore right ankle and will not compete at the World Cup finals in Germany this week.
U.S. Alpine team spokesman Doug Haney says Miller still doesn’t know if he will return for the next World Cup season.
Miller has not competed since the Vancouver Olympics, where he won the super-combined gold medal and earned silver in the super-G and bronze in the downhill.
The American was not in the running for any World Cup titles. He also skipped two races over the weekend in Norway.
