Washington forward Jon Brockman, who missed Sunday’s game against Portland State with an ankle injury, said he is fully expecting to play in Washington’s next game, which is Saturday against Eastern Washington.
Brockman sprained his right ankle in practice last Saturday, and said when he woke up the next day he knew he likely wouldn’t play in the game.
Lorenzo Romar said he thinks Brockman will return to practice tomorrow or Thursday, but that regardless of when he gets back this week, he would be “shocked” if Brockman can’t play this weekend.
Romar also said that a decision still hasn’t been made on whether or not to redshirt freshman forward Tyreese Breshers.
There has also been some speculation that Devin Aguilar, a freshman receiver, might walk on to the basketball team, but Romar indicated that that scenario seems unlikely now.
