Apparently that Jon Brockman guy is pretty good at basketball, because he was named the Pac-10 player of the week for the third time this season. It’s also the fourth player of the week award of his career, making him the second Husky after Brandon Roy to win the award four times.
In Washington’s two wins this week, Brockman averaged 23.5 points and 15 rebounds. He shot 62 percent from the field in the two games against Oregon and Oregon State, and recorded his conference-best 11th and 12th double-doubles.
The junior from Snohomish is averaging 18.7 points and a Pac-10 best 11.6 rebounds this season.
