Baseball/Softball
• Laces Baseball Academy is holding tryouts for its 2011-2012 teams. All tryouts are from 6-8 p.m. at Lincoln Field in Everett (2600 Rockefeller Ave.). Sessions are Aug. 2 and 4 (13U, 14U), Aug. 3 and 10 (15U, 16U), and Aug. 9 and 11 (17U, 18U). For more information,

• Tryouts for the Marysville Baseball Association’s select teams are scheduled from 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 2, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and 31, and from 1-3 p.m. on Aug. 28 at Marysville-Pilchuck High School. • Laces Baseball Academy is holding its annual Summer Baseball Camp on Aug. 15-18 at Lincoln Field in Everett (2600 Rockefeller Ave.). The camp is for players ages 12-14. • The Pro Baseball Camp is scheduled for Aug. 22-25 at Mill Creek Sports Park. The camp is for players ages 8-13. Sessions are from 9 a.m.-noon. The cost is $129 for Mill Creek residents and $148 for non-residents. Online registration is available at www.activenet.active.com/millcreek.

Basketball
• The eighth annual 3-on-3 X-Travaganza Basketball Tournament is scheduled for Aug. 13-14 at the Arlington Municipal Airport. For more information or to register, visit www.3on3x.com.

Football
• The Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County are offering an NFL Flag Football Camp on Aug. 15-18 at the North Everett Club. The program is for campers ages 5-12. Sessions are from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information, call Dave at 425-259-5147.

Physicals
• The Marysville School District is offering sports physicals for student-athletes in grades 7-12. The physicals are available from 4-7:30 p.m. on Aug. 16 in the Marysville Pilchuck High School gymnasium. The cost is $35. Proceeds go toward scholarships for the district’s Male and Female High School Scholar Athletes of the Year. Appointments can be made starting Aug. 1 by calling 360-653-7058.

Running
• The Bruce Karr Memorial 5K Fun Run/Walk is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Aug. 6 in Snohomish. The run and walk take place on the Centennial Trail. The registration fee is $25 ($30 the day of the event). Proceeds benefit The Farm Youth Outreach and the American Anti-Cancer Institute. To register, visit www.bkfunrunwalk.org.

• The Mill Creek Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Kids’ Fun Run at 10 a.m. on Aug. 13. The event, which includes a half-mile run/walk and a two-kilometer run/walk, is for children in grades K-5. The fee is $12, with half the money being donated to the American Red Cross. Swimming
• Yost Pool in Edmonds is offering Children’s Swim Lessons. The two-week sessions meet Monday through Thursday. The fees are $52 for residents and $60 for non-residents. For more information, call 425-771-1346.

• The StingRay Swim Club is offering Swim Lessons for ages 3 and older. The cost is $67 for eight 30-minute lessons. Partial scholarships are available for kids on a reduced-lunch program at school. Instructors have training from both USA Swimming and the American Red Cross. For more information, call Ben Olszewski at 425-736-5600.

Tennis
• The City of Mountlake Terrace is offering one-week Tennis Camps for players ages 7-13. Sessions are 9-10:30 a.m. (ages 7-9) and 10:30 a.m.-noon (10-13) Tuesday through Friday at the Evergreen Playfields tennis courts. The camps run throughout the summer. The cost is $29 for residents and $32 for non-residents. For more information, call Jeff Betz at 425-640-3101.
