During his press conference Monday, Pete Carroll mentioned a bunch of players who would sit out this week because of injuries, including QB Tarvaris Jackson, LB Leroy Hill and RB Marshawn Lynch. One player he didn’t mention, however, was center Max Unger, who watched practice wearing a walking boot and leaning on crutches Tuesday. Apparently Carroll didn’t forget to mention Unger, but rather the injury didn’t show up until Monday. Unger finished the game, but yesterday developed what offensive line coach Tom Cable called a sore foot. As of now, it sounds like Unger should be back for Seattle’s next game against Cleveland in two weeks.
“This showed up right after the game yesterday morning,” Cable said. “Not Sunday, not Sunday night even, it came yesterday morning. We’ll see what it is, it doesn’t look to be anything too bad. Right now they’re saying we should plan like we’re going to have him next week, so we’ll move towards that and see what happens.”
Cable also said left guard Robert Gallery should be back next week after sitting out the past three games following groin surgery.
Seattle will not put out a full injury report after practice because this is its bye week.
