VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Canucks defenseman Sami Salo will be out four weeks with a broken rib.
The NHL team made the announcement at practice Friday.
The blue-liner was injured when he was driven into the boards by Edmonton’s Ethan Moreau during a 4-2 home win over the Oilers on Wednesday night.
Salo, who had just returned to the lineup after missing three games with a groin injury, left the ice. No penalty was called on the play.
Salo has two goals and eight assists in 25 games this season.
