EVERETT — Rudy Caparas won the Greater Snohomish County Junior Championship for the second straight year on Wednesday at Walter Hall Golf Course.
Caparas shot a 5-under-par 67 to beat Steven Cabanday by nine strokes. Cabanday, who shot a 72 on the first day of the tournament Tuesday at Legion Memorial Golf Course, had a one-stroke lead on Caparas going into the second round. Caparas had five birdies on the back nine on Wednesday.
Sarah Lawrence, who shot a 77 on the first day, shot an 81 in the second round to win the White Tee competition by seven strokes. Mathew Pabisz finished second and Devin Kim and Quinton Borseth tied for third place.
Josef Koznek won the Red Tee competition, finishing one stroke ahead of
Jazz Caparas. Josh Selby finished third, three shots back.
