SEATTLE — Offensive lineman Allen Carroll and running back Terrance Dailey are leaving the Washington football program.
Coach Steve Sarkisian made the announcement after practice on Wednesday. Sarkisian says that Carroll simply has lost the passion for playing, while Dailey was unable to meet the academic requirements of the team. Dailey will remain in school through spring quarter and then be done at Washington. Sarkisian did not say what Carroll’s plans were.
Carroll redshirted last season after coming to Washington from McClymonds High School in Oakland, Calif.
Dailey, from Vacaville, Calif., played in eight games as a freshman, running for 338 yards and a touchdown. He was expected to compete for one of the top spots in the Huskies’ backfield this spring.
