Cascade High School graduate Pabail Sidhu, who’s served as the analytics guru for the NBA’s Golden State Warriors since 2017, has been promoted by the team to vice president of basketball analytics and innovation.
Sidhu was originally hired by the Warriors as their first ever director of basketball analytics and innovation, in which he was tasked with gathering data from Golden State’s games and analyzing it to aid the team’s performance. His contributions helped the Warriors win NBA championships in 2018 and 2022.
In his new role, Sidhu will have “more work around the decision-making process and responsibilities/contributions away from numbers,” Sidhu said via email.
Golden State’s 2023-24 season began Tuesday with a 108-104 home loss to the Phoenix Suns.
