EVERETT — Cascade jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 20 minutes and never looked back in the 4A district loser-out game. Cascade advanced to face Snohomish in Saturday’s winner-to-state, loser-out game.
Jordan Watson opened the scoring in the ninth minute when he tracked down his own rebound, then Sarmad Aqrawi cleaned up a rebound following a corner kick in the 20th minute to make it 2-0.
Bryan Carbajal put the finishing touch on for Cascade in the second half, scoring from the top of the penalty box in the 67th minute after a cross was punched out. Chris Rocha-Mendez’s scored a 69th-minute consolation goal for Mount Vernon.
