UNIVERSITY PLACE — Cascade’s Breanne Mattson rolled a 198 average to win the Class 4A singles bowling tournament Friday at Narrows Plaza Bowl.
Jackson’s Jamie Ellis finished 7th in the tournament with a 180 average.
In the 3A singles tournament, Ferndale’s Ashley Ackerman took the title with a 201 average. Everett’s Chrissy Tayler took fourth place in the tourney, while teammate Andrea Hurley placed seventh.
After one day of team competition, Jackson was second overall with a score of 4,931. The Timberwolves trail two-time defending state champion Wilson High School of Tacoma by 130 pins. The team tournament concludes today.
Everett is currently seventh in the Class 3A team tournament with 4,835 pins. Bremerton leads all schools with a score of 5,169.
