Indiana’s Tamika Catchings and Los Angeles’ Candace Parker were named the WNBA’s Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week respectively on Monday. The award is for games played between June 18 and 24.
Catchings led Indiana to a 2-1 record for the week, averaging 14.3 points, 5.7 assists, 8.3 rebounds, two steals and 1.33 blocks per game.
Parker won her third Player of the Week award in five weeks. She helped the Sparks to a 3-1 record for the week, averaging 19.7 points, 103. rebounds and four blocks per game.
