Connecticut’s Tina Charles and San Antonio’s Becky Hammon were named the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference WNBA Players of the Week respectively on Monday.
Charles helped the Sun to a 2-0 record for the week averaging 21. 5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game.
Hammon led the Silver Stars to a 4-0 record and got the Silver Stars back in contention in the Western Conference. She averaged 20.3 points and 4.8 assists per game in the four victories.
