After two disappointing seasons as Cascade’s head football coach, Nick Clovsky has resigned. The Bruins went winless in 2010 and 2011.
Clovsky said he made his decision to resign now, “to give the next person the opportunity to be successful.”
Clovsky said the lack of wins was a part of his decision.
“I didn’t feel like my vision of what I wanted Cascade football to be ever materialized,” Clovsky said. “Obviously losing is no fun.
Clovsky said the decision to resign was his and his alone and that he is leaving the door open to return to coaching at some point.
“What I will miss the most is the interaction with the kids on a daily basis,” Clovsky said.
Despite the lack of wins, Clovsky said he was proud that his team had a lot of off the field success is his two seasons, saying that there were less behavioral problems and that the student athletes had better attendance and better grades.
