Baseball/softball

  • Tryouts for a 12-year-old Pee Wee Reese baseball team are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Oct. 4 in Mukilteo. For more information, visit www.shockersbaseball.com.

  • Basketball

  • Registration for the Marysville Youth Basketball League runs through Oct. 3. The program is for players in grades 1-8. Volunteer coaches are needed. The cost is $66 per player, with a $6 discount for each additional family member. For more information, call 360-363-8400.
  • Tryouts for the Everett AAU Boys Basketball program are scheduled for Oct, 3 and Oct. 5 at Everett High School. The program is for boys in grades 5-8. Tryout times are 6-7:30 p.m. (grades 5-6) and 7:30-9 p.m. (grades 7-8). For more information, call Tom or Tina Cobb at 425-303-8001.
  • Tryouts for boys and girls interested in playing for the Bruin Select Basketball Feeder Program are scheduled for Oct. 8, 9 and 15 at Cascade High School.   • Mountlake Terrace Parks and Recreation is offering a Basketball Open Gym from 9-11:30 a.m. at Terrace Park School. The cost is $3.50 for residents and $4 for non-residents. For more information, call 425-776-9173.
