Baseball/softball

  • The Northwest Baseball Academy is offering Hitting Camps from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturdays, and Pitching Camps from 6-8 p.m. on Sundays at its indoor facility in Lynnwood (18025 Highway 99). Sessions begin in January and run into March. The program is for players ages 8-13. The hitting camps cost $100. The pitching camps cost $140. Enrollment ends March 7.   • Registration for Mill Creek Little League baseball and softball is scheduled from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Jan. 7 and Jan. 15 at Heatherwood Middle School. The program is for players ages 5-18. Birth certificates are required. For more information, call 425-338-5410.
  • The Edmonds Community College fastpitch softball team is looking for players. Open gyms are scheduled for 6 p.m. on Dec. 17, 22 and 29 at the Seaview Gym. Basketball

  • The WTA’s third annual Christmas Break Basketball Tournament is scheduled for Dec. 26-28 at Lake Stevens High School. The tournament is for boys and girls teams in grades 4-9. The team fee is $265. For more information, call 425-744-1860.

  • Tryouts for the 2009 Marysville Wolverines Arena Youth Football program are scheduled for January. Tryouts for the Senior Team (ages 14-15) are from 6-8 p.m. on Jan. 7 and Jan. 14 at the Soccer Dome in Arlington.
