Baseball/Softball

• The Lynnwood-based Northwest Baseball and Softball Academy is offering monthly pitching and hitting camps in February and March. The camps are for players ages 8-13. The pitching camps meet from 6-8 p.m. on Sundays. The hitting camps are from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Costs vary. • The USSSA is looking for softball umpires in Snohomish and King counties. Umpires are needed for youth and adult leagues. Training is provided, with classes starting Jan. 31. For more information, contact Paul Duffy at 425-870-1043 or duffyclanevt@comcast.net.

• A three-week Baseball/Softball Skills Camp is scheduled for Feb. 7, 21 and 28 at the Edmonds Boys &Girls Club (310 6th Ave. N), and a two-week camp is scheduled for Feb. 8 and 15 at the same location. The cost is $137.

Basketball

• The Everett Elks Hoop Shoot is scheduled for Jan. 19 in the Everett High School gym. The event is for boys and girls ages 8-13 as of April 1. Registration begins at 5:15 p.m. and the competition starts at 5:30 p.m. Registration closes when the competition begins. For more information, send an e-mail to seagull3@msn.com.

Lacrosse

• Everett Lacrosse is offering a January Clinic at Tambark Creek Park in Bothell (17217 35th Ave. SE). The clinic is for boys and girls ages 8-16. Sessions run from 2-5 p.m. on Jan. 17, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Jan. 24 and 25. The cost is $30. To register, visit everettlacrosseclub.com.
