Baseball/Softball

• The USSSA is looking for softball umpires for adult and youth leagues in Snohomish and King counties. Training classes begin Jan. 28. For more information, call Paul at 425-870-1043.

Basketball

• The Mukilteo-based WestCoast Basketball Academy is looking for experienced coaches for its spring session. The positions are stipend positions. For more information, call coach Miller at 206-465-2401 or send an email to westcoastbasketball@comcast.net.

• Life Unlimited is offering a Men’s Basketball League in Monroe. Play starts Jan. 22 at Monroe High School. Four divisions are available. The team fee is $575. To register, call 360-794-6467.

Equestrian

• Whidbey Island-based Equestrian Crossings is accepting registration for its Winter Riding, Vaulting and Adaptive Lessons. The cost is $30, with an annual registration fee of $30 for new students. For more information, visit www.equestriancrossings.com.

Football

• Tryouts for the Everett Raptors — Snohomish County’s new indoor football team — are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Jan. 14 at Marysville Indoor Sports. Registration opens at 10:15 a.m. The tryout fee is $40 in advance or $50 the day of the tryouts. To preregister, visit www.everettraptors.com.

• Tryouts for Stanwood Spartan Arena Football (ages 13-14) are scheduled from 6-7:30 p.m. on Jan 23 at Soccer First in Arlington (19805 74th Ave. NE). The event concludes with a parent meeting. For more information, call coach Mike Hurn at 425-652-4046.

Pickle Ball

• The City of Edmonds is offering an Adult Pickle Ball League on Tuesday nights at the Frances Anderson Center. Play begins Jan. 10. Upper and lower divisions are available for both men and women. Soccer

• The Seattle Sounders FC is holding open tryouts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 21-22 at the Starfire Complex in Tukwila. The tryouts are for players ages 18 and older. The registration fee is $125. Space is limited. To register, visit www.soundersfc.com/opentryouts. The registration deadline is Jan. 20.

Volleyball

• The City of Edmonds is accepting registration for its Co-Rec Competitive Volleyball League. Matches are on Tuesday nights at Edmonds Community College, beginning Jan. 10. The team fee is $325. For more information, call Todd at 425-771-0229 or visit www.reczone.org.
