Washington State took the lead late and held on for a 56-52 victory. Washington had the ball with a chance to tie it in the final minute, but Jon Brockman’s shot missed. Kyle Weaver then hit a pair of free throws to clinch it for WSU.
Brockman finished with 14 points and 17 rebounds, while Tim Morris scored a team-high 16 points. Aron Baynes led the Cougars with 16 points and Weaver added 13 to go with nine rebounds.
