A rather strange story came out of Green Bay yesterday when Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers told reporters there that Darryl Tapp bit him during a game last year. Tapp has strongly denied those allegations both yesterday and today, and today decided to perform a case study in the locker room. He put on his helmet and attempted to bite my arm through the facemask and even under it, and alas, my arm is still intact. He even tried the same thing earlier with Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times, and again, no luck.
Teammate and fellow defensive end Patrick Kerney cleared things up a few minutes later, however, explaining that, while we can’t see it from our vantage point in the press box, Tapp is a little different than the rest of us.
“You all probably can’t see this from the booth,” Kerney said. “You’ve seen Alien, right? When Tapp opens his mouth, a little alien mouth shoots out, so that’s what probably bit him.”
Anyway, here’s today’s injury report:
SEAHAWKS
Did not participate in practice
LB Aaron Curry (shoulder)
WR Nate Burleson (ankle)
WR Ben Obomanu (hamstring)
Full participation in practice
RB Julius Jones (ribs)
Mora said it is doubful that Curry or Burleson would play, but that Obomanu will likely be a game-time decision.
