You know how big companies hire motivational speakers to inspire (or at least entertain) workers?
Well, last night I found out that my mom is going to see a famous sports figure this week during her company’s meeting in San Antonio. The guest speaker is … the shiny-headed college basketball analyst that hoops fans either love or hate, Dick Vitale.
Awesome, baby!
I asked my mom to take notes during Dickie V’s speech and tell me the highlights. Hopefully Vitale blurts some funny stories or incorporates a few of his well-known catchphrases, like “Get a TO, baby!” (call a timeout), “diaper dandy” (freshman star), and “Maalox time” (the final minutes of a close game).
