The Tips don’t play until Friday, so as usual the practices run a little longer earlier in the week. Anyway, here’s a couple quick notes:
– Defenseman Brenden Stephen has returned to his KIJHL team, the Princeton Posse. Stephen was called up to fill in during Everett’s injury crisis at the back. However, it looks as though Graham Potuer (flu) will be ready to go by the weekend, so Stephen’s services are no longer required. The 6-foot-7 1990-born Stephen appeared in three games.
– Everett’s top two picks from last year’s bantam draft, goaltender Kent Simpson and defenseman Gabriel Minville, are skating with the team in practice this week. However, I wouldn’t expect either to get any game time, it’s more to get familiar with the surroundings, coaches, systems, etc.
