Mount Hood, Ore. – Mount Vernon High alum Adam Roberts was 2-for-5 with a double and Howard Sanders (Shorewood) hit a pinch-hit two-run double in the sixth inning to lead the Edmonds Community College Tritons to a 4-1 victory in the first game of a non-conference doubleheader against Mount Hood CC. Snohomish High alum Cody McAllister pitched four innings, striking out three and allowing only one hit for Edmonds (4-1 overall).
In the second game Ryan Strieby, a Mountlake Terrace alum, hit a leadoff double in the fourth that led to two Edmonds runs but Mount Hood (1-1) scored eight runs in the first three innings to coast to a split. Sanders added a two-RBI double for Edmonds.
