Northwest University soccer player Jordan Holmes was named the NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week for her performance Oct. 16 against No. 1-ranked Concordia.
Holmes, a junior goalkeeper, held the Cavaliers scoreless over 110 minutes of play in a 0-0 tie. She made six saves. Concordia came into the contest as the highest-scoring team in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, averaging three goals per game.
Holmes is from Mountlake Terrace. She graduated from Edmonds-Woodway High School.
Northwest University is located in Kirkland.
