Emsley-Pai’s big day leads T-wolves

MILL CREEK – Whether facing him on the mound or trying to strike him out, Mountlake Terrace just couldn’t do anything about Kawika Emsley-Pai.

Emsley-Pai threw a complete game with seven strikeouts and helped himself at the plate by going 3-for-4 to lead Jackson to a 8-2 win over Mountlake Terrace in a Wesco South game Friday.

“Kawika settled down after giving up the two runs early,” Jackson head coach Kirk Nicholson said. “He did very well for us.”

Jackson got additional offense from Danny Oh, who scored two runs and batted 2-for-3 with two RBI, and Travis Snider, who was 3-for-4 including a double that finished off a four-run sixth inning.

“The second and sixth innings were the big ones for us,” Nicholson said. “We got the three runs in the second, then iced the game away in the sixth with four hits and four runs.

“Then Travis Snider capped things off with his double.”
