KENNEWICK -The Everett Community College women’s basketball team fell 95-56 to Yakima Valley CC Friday night in an NWAACC quarterfinal tournament game.
Everett (24-6) was led by Snohomish alums Kristin Moore (11 points) and Britni Rathke (10 points, five rebounds.)
The Trojans play Lower Columbian CC today to earn a shot to play for fourth place.
In its tourney opener Thursday night, Everett held off Tacoma 78-75 in a game that ended near midnight.
Tacoma had a final chance to tie the score but missed a 3-pointer with 11 seconds to play. The Trojans then ran out the clock to secure the victory, which set a new school record for wins at 24, said Everett coach Chet Hovde. The previous record was set in 1982-83.
Rathke led Everett with 19 points and 15 rebounds. She was one of four Everett players who scored in double figures. The others were Oliana Seanoa (18), Moore (17) and Rachael Boehme (16).
