Everett bags district title

FERNDALE — Brianna Kinman rolled a 212 game and a tournament-high 588 series to lead Everett to the 3A District 1 championship Tuesday at Mt. Baker Lanes.

Everett finished with 2,589 pins to 2,222 for Ferndale and 1,985 for Anacortes.

For the Seagulls, who advance to the state meet Feb. 1-2 at Narrows Plaza Bowl in Tacoma, Andrea Hurley had a 192 game and a 503 series, Jennifer Beck had a 219 game and a 529 series and Shelbi Douty had a 226 game and a 553 series. Also competing for Everett were Chrissy Taylor, Shalin Ram and Sierra Neeley.
