Everett CC women drop tourney opener

WALLA WALLA — The Everett Community College women’s basketball team lost its first-round game at the Walla Walla Crossover Tournament on Thursday, falling to Clark College 87-62.

Sophomore guard Breezy Shore led the Trojans with 28 points. Freshman center Claire Fyfe added seven points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Everett (4-5) plays the loser of Thursday’s Clackamas-Yakima game at 1 p.m. Friday. The eight-team tournament runs through Saturday.
