EVERETT — Everett Community College has reached a three-year agreement with Nike Inc. and BSN SPORTS to make Nike the official apparel provider of Trojan athletics.
BSN SPORTS and Nike will provide apparel, footwear and equipment for the Trojans’ 11 intercollegiate athletic teams. The deal is expected to save the athletic department an estimated $10,000 to $15,000 per year in apparel and equipment related costs, the school said in a press release.
“We are thrilled about this partnership with Nike and what it means to our department,” Everett’s director of athletics, Garet Studer, said in a statement. “Nike is a brand that provides top-of-the-line apparel in all of the sports that we offer and one that we are proud to co-brand with Trojan Athletics. After consulting with all of our coaches, and a number of student athletes, it became very clear that Nike was the top choice,” .
BSN SPORTS, the largest distributor of team sports apparel and equipment in the United States, won the competitive bid process that began in January to be the exclusive provider of Nike apparel for the Trojans.
Nike is the world’s largest supplier of athletic shoes and apparel and has a long history of partnering with some of the most prestigious collegiate institutions in the country.
