Notes: Forwards Josh Birkholz (head), Landon Ferraro (hernia) and Campbell Elynuik (shoulder) are all out injured, so call-up winger Zach McPhee is thrust straight into the lineup. Kent Simpson starts his 16th straight game in goal.

Notes: Portland has injury issues. Defenseman Brett Ponich (knee) and winger Oliver Gabriel (shoulder) are out long-term. Winger Riley Boychuk, defenseman William Wrenn and goaltender Mac Carruth are all dealing with concussions. Therefore, 15-year-old center Nic Petan gets a call-up and 18-year-old Ross Baadsvik serves as the emergency goaltender.
