Everett vs. Seattle lineup notes

EVERETT (16-4-2-1)

Forward lines

Bajkov-Bauml-Miller

Low-Nikolishin-Stadnyk

Cochrane-Fonteyne-Aasman

Wegleitner-Malenica-Kindopp

Defensive pairings

Betker-Juulsen

MacDonald-Davis

Skrumeda-Wharrie

Goaltenders

Lotz

Hart

Scratches: Pfeifer, Leedahl, Laurencelle, Scherbak.

Notes: The latest addition to Everett’s injury list is defenseman Tristen Pfeifer, who sits tonight with what’s described as an unspecified upper-body injury of unknown severity. He joins forwards Nikita Scherbak (leg), Remi Laurencelle (ankle) and Dawson Leedahl (knee) on the sidelines. With Pfeifer out, Jordan Wharrie returns to his usual defensive position, while d-man Carter Cochrane continues to skate as a forward. With just 19 healthy bodies available, the Tips have called up 15-year-old winger Bryce Kindopp to fill out the lineup. The third-round bantam pick from Lloydminster, Alberta, is making his WHL debut.

SEATTLE (9-11-2-2)

Forward lines

Kolesar-Eansor-Hickman

Gropp-True-Spencer

Volcan-Neuls-Wardley

Holowko-Baltram-Osterman

Defensive pairings

Theodore-Bear

Hauf-Smith

Ottenbreit-Allan/Khaira

Goaltenders

Kozun

Mumaugh

Scratches: Elder, Barzal, Pederson, Khaira/Allan.

Notes: Seattle is without star center Mathew Barzal because of a fractured kneecap. Fellow forwards Lane Pederson (undisclosed) and Kaden Elder (lower body) are also out. Therefore, in an interesting move, rugged overage defenseman Evan Wardley skates as a forward. Defensemen Sahvan Khaira and Scott Allan both take the warm-up, but just one will play.
