The Snohomish County Explosion forced 20 first-half turnovers and jumped out to a 62-40 halftime lead en route to a 130-96 victory over the USA All-Stars Sunday night in Portland, Ore.
Six of the Explosion’s players scored in double figures, led by Devon Green’s 35 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, and Snohomish County scored 42 points in the fourth quarter to rebound from Saturday night’s 123-118 loss to the All-Stars.
Richard Ford (12 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks) and Bradley Cannon (16 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks) were both strong in the paint, and Anthony Slater dished out 18 assists to go with 11 points and five steals.
“Everybody played well,” Explosion head coach Chris Weakley said. “We had six guys in double figures, you can’t beat that.”
The Explosion (1-1) play next Saturday against the Seattle Mountaineers at the Monroe Sports Arena.
