BELLINGHAM — A tough shooting night for the Snohomish County Explosion left them with a tough loss to the Bellingham Slam.
Behind a season-low 40-percent shooting night from floor and 64-percent from the free throw line, the Explosion dropped a 130-116 International Basketball League game to the Slam Friday night at Bellingham.
Tyler Amaya scored a team-high 31 points as the Slam outscored the Explosion (3-3 overall) in every quarter. Meadowdale High grad Jake Linton added 18 points for Bellingham.
Snohomish County was led by Devon Greene’s 34 points. Greene, who leads the league in scoring, added 13 rebounds but shot a dismal 9-for-20 from the field. Richard Ford added 31 points and nine rebounds for the Explosion.
