ALGER, Wash. — For the first time Skagit Speedway is encouraging and inviting dedicated fans of racing at the track to the 2009 Awards Banquet November 14. Frequently an exclusive event for drivers and teams, the new event will give fans the opportunity to take part in the celebratory season ending festivities.
“We have a huge fan base of dedicated and loyal fans,” said Steve Beitler, Skagit Speedway promoter. “This is a great opportunity for our fans to share an exciting evening with their favorite drivers.”
More than 80 different awards and prizes will be presented during the evening, Saturday Nov. 14 in the Cascade Ballroom at the Best Western Cotton Tree Inn in Mt. Vernon. Events start at 6 p.m. with no-host cocktails, dinner buffet and awards ceremony.
Both participants and fans can order tickets Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the track or over the phone at 360-724-3567. Tickets are $40 and must be reserved by November 6th. Reservations are limited to the first 300 people.
