Did you ever have one of those weeks where you lost track of time, and suddenly it was Friday? Yeah, me too. Straight to the point, here’s my picks for this weekend’s slate of racing.
I’m going to go with Tony Stewart to win the NASCAR Sprint Cup Price Chopper 400 on Sunday (ABC/Ch. 4, 11 a.m.)
Let’s say local favorite Clint Bowyer makes it two in a row in the Nationwide Series by winning Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 (ESPN2, 12:30 p.m.)
Antron Brown (Top Fuel), Tony Pedergon (Funny Car), Jeg Coughlin (Pro Stock) and Matt Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) all get back into the hunt for championships at the NHRA Mid-South Nationals (ESPN2, qualifying at 7:30 p.m. Saturday; final eliminations at 4 p.m. Sunday).
Ah …. Who knows? I’ve got the first practice session on the DVR but have not watched it yet. Looks like it’s raining at Fuji Speedway, which makes me think Lewis Hamilton, who runs well in the wet, will win the Japanese Grand Prix on Saturday (SPEED, 9:30 p.m. and replayed on Sunday at 7 p.m.).
