JoePa has long been known for pacing the sideline during games wearing rolled-up khakis and his smoky, Coke bottle-thick glasses. Since he still feels funny without glasses, he had a set made with similar frames but much thinner lenses.
Go away Games: Burning torches and the Rolling Stones’ “Street Fighting Man?” Or playful-but-pointed placards and community choirs? No one is sure what to expect when anti-Olympic protesters march through downtown Vancouver today.

The protesters are railing against everything from the cost of the Olympics to tight security. Last week, it was a makeshift marching band, anti-Games chants and Olympic-mocking mascots like “Itchy the Bedbug.”
