EUGENE, Ore. — Joseph Rosa, Cade Marlowe and Austin Shenton all hit home runs, Levi Stoudt struck out 10 hitters in eight innings and the first-place Everett AquaSox beat the Eugene Emeralds 10-4 on Thursday evening at PK Park.
Shenton finished the game 3-for-4 and added a double, and Kaden Polcovich went 2-for-3 with a triple and four runs batted in as the AquaSox scored double-digit runs for the third time in the past five games.
Stoudt was extremely efficient in turning in the longest outing for an Everett (36-19) pitcher this season. The 23-year-old righty threw 98 pitches and allowed four runs on eight hits and did not walk a batter in the game. Stephen Kolek closed the game with a scoreless ninth inning.
Sean Roby homered and drove in two runs and Brett Auerbach had three hits for Eugene (34-22).
