Fitzpatrick wins 4A district title

OAK HARBOR – Sean Fitzpatrick shot 1-under par for a two day total of 143 to win the Class 4A District 1 boys individual title and help his team, Jackson (150.5), cruise to the team championship over second place Kamiak (120) and third place, host Oak Harbor with 102.

Snohomish’s Dylan Stensland finished second overall shooting a two day total of 1-over 145, two shots behind Fitzpatrick.

Lynden’s Will Holdridge shot a 3-under 69 to lead after the first round. Shorecrest’s Jens Bracht and Lynnwood’s Kris Jackson each shot 2-over 74s to land in a two-way tie for third place.

4A District 1 meet, round 2: At Oak Harbor, Kamiak’s Christa Goldie shot a two day total of 165 to win medalist honors by four points over second place finisher Maria Stoica (169). Snohomish (126) took team honors by just 2.5 points over the Knights (123.5). The top 15 golfers from the meet advance to the state tournament.
