Area girls soccer players were well-represented on the Washington State Soccer Coaches Association all-state teams, which were voted on by coaches association members.
Shorecrest junior midfielder Lauren Brown, a Seattle University commit, was one of five Class 3A first-team selections from the area. Also earning 3A first-team honors were Arlington senior forward McKenzie Buell, Arlington senior defender Kali Knepper, Edmonds-Woodway senior defender Kia Mackey and Edmonds-Woodway junior goalkeeper Hannah Hicks.
Archbishop Murphy senior forward Talia Daigle, The Herald’s All-Area Player of the Year, was a 2A first-team selection.
King’s had four 1A first-team selections: junior forward Katie Stella, senior defender Nicole Jacobsen, senior defender Hannah Echelbarger and senior goalkeeper Maddie Nielsen.
