Other than allowing a 47-yard run on Centralia’s first offensive play, Archbishop Murphy has been in control tonight in this 2A state quarterfinal clash.
Murphy leads 20-0 at halftime thanks to good blocking and three touchdown runs — two by CJ Milburn and one by Randy Gordon.
It’s frigid and raining steadily but that hasn’t hampered Murphy’s offense too much. The Wildcats racked up 190 yards rushing in the first half and another 45 yards through the air. Milburn is leading the ground attack with 11 carries for 94 yards.
Gordon’s TD provided Murphy’s first points of the game. He zipped through a massive opening on the right side and sprinted 51 yards untouched to the right corner of the end zone.
