Football update: Jackson 20, Mariner 14 at halftime

Thanks largely to a huge half by running back Taylor Cox, Jackson leads Mariner 20-14 at halftime.

So far Cox has rushed seven times for 135 yards and two long TDs (54 yards and 71 yards, respectively). His bursts of speed have been exceptional.

Mariner cut it to 20-14 with no time left on the clock in the second quarter. QB AJ VanWieringen completed a 14-yard scoring pass to running back Adrien Black, who was wide open in the right half of the end zone.
