RENTON — The Seattle Seahawks revamped their practice squad on Thursday, bringing back two former training-camp players while releasing two others.
Running back Justin Forsett, who was a preseason star but eventually got released, was signed to the practice squad. Forsett signed with the Indianapolis Colts after getting cut by Seattle, but the Colts let him go earlier this week.
Seattle also added quarterback Travis Lulay, who went to camp with the team in 2007. Lulay gives the team a practice-squad quarterback to help take some of the reps from Charlie Frye, who handled duties for both the No. 1 offense and the scout team Wednesday.
Matt Hasselbeck (knee) is expected to return to practice today, but Frye could still take some snaps with the No. 1 offense. Seneca Wallace is currently sidelined by a calf injury.
To make room for the new practice squad players, Seattle cut running back Matt Lawrence and wide receiver Trenton Shelton.
