Fourth-quarter free throws help E-W hold off Bellingham

EDMONDS – Lindsey Bordeaux was 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter as Edmonds-Woodway held off Bellingham, 70-64, Saturday in a girls basketball game at Edmonds-Woodway High School.

Bordeaux had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors, who were 10-for-11 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.

Katie Trew also had a double-double for E-W with a team-high 22 points and 13 rebounds.

Bellingham made seven of eight 3-point attempts in the second half to come back from a 35-21 halftime deficit.

Bellingham’s Sara Berger made four 3-pointers and led all scorers with 31 points.

Jackson held a 12-point lead halfway through the fourth quarter of the non-league game when South Whidbey pulled to within one. McCracken hit a three-pointer to end the game.
