Freshman leads Jackson to 4A district swim title

Syunta Lee sets two meet records as Timberwolves edge Lake Stevens.

SNOHOMISH — Freshman Syunta Lee helped Jackson edge Lake Stevens for the 4A District 1 swimming and diving team title by setting meet records in the 200-yard individual medley and 500 freestyle and helping two Timberwolves relays qualify for the state meet. Jackson’s Vyron Domingo added a meet record in the 100 backstroke.

Lake Stevens set meet records in the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays. Two participants on those relays — Camden Blevins-Mohr (50 freestyle, 100 butterfly) and Sam Lamb (100 freestyle) — also set meet records in individual events. The Vikings will match Jackson with entries in 13 state meet events.

State begins Thursday at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
