As would be expected, the Indiana Fever defeated the Washington Mystics on Friday. Not quite as expected was the manner in which they did it.
The Fever needed a driving layup by Shannon Bobbitt at the buzzer to give the Fever a 61-59 victory over the Mystics.
Tamika Catchings led the Fever (13-6) with 16 points. Indiana has won three-straight.
Matee Ajavon led the Mystics (3-14) with 19 points.
In Friday’s other game, the Minnesota Lynx defeated the Seattle Storm 92-67.
