Today’s practice, the second of the day, was in helmets, shoulder pads and shorts. Jake Locker again was not in pads, but did put his helmet on a throw a few passes as the team warmed up, something we haven’t seen him do since he suffered a hamstring injury last week. After that, he was running the stadium stairs, and doing so at a pretty good speed.
Also out, amongst others, were receiver Cody Bruns (injury unknown), safety Victor Aiyewa (groin), guard Casey Bulyca (injury unknown) and center Matt Sedillo (concussion).
There was one drill before the media had to leave that showed something of a first-team offense, though with all the injuries it’s probably nothing close to what you’ll see on Aug. 30. For what it’s worth though, here’s what it looked like: Ronnie Fouch at QB, Chris Polk at tailback, Paul Homer at fullback, D’Andre Goodwin and Alvin Logan at receiver, Walt Winter at tight end, Ben Ossai and Cody Habben at tackle, Ryan Tolar and Morgan Rosborough at guard and Greg Christine at center. But again, there’s probably not too much to be read into here given the number of injuries keeping guys out today.
